Poetry for Adults

Unfortunately poetry for grown ups is rarely as attractive to look at as children’s poetry. If it were, perhaps more people would buy it. A couple of exceptions here…

…and we used to include lots of illustrations in Psychopoetica, of course. As well as PP, my poems appeared in many (now defunct) litle magazines such as Inkshed, Braquemard and the wonderful Iron. I also edited a couple of local anthologies, which was fun: Nights in the Mezzanine and Under a Mackerel Sky. All the time, production qualities were improving and the days of the smudgy photocopied mag were fading. Now I seem to write about poetry more than writing poetry – except of course for the dozens of sonnets and the regular writing for Teachit. Just different, I suppose.
